A New Tradition for 2021!

The First Annual Gingerbread Contest at Lititz Hometown Christmas!
Contest Categories:

Business Category - Local Businesses compete for a Traveling Trophy, which is awarded to the first-place winner

Adult Category - Individuals age 16 and older

Teen Category - Individuals age 11 - 15

Children's Category - Children age 5 - 10
How it Works:
- Gingerbread Houses must be adhered to a stable base, which can support its weight when lifted.
- The base may also be decorated, if desired.
- Gingerbread Houses must be built using edible ingredients and edible decorations.
- Children (age 5-10) may substitute graham crackers for the actual house, instead of gingerbread.
- Purchased Gingerbread Kits may be used
- Fairy Lights and/or battery operated tea lights, may be used to decorate inside or outside, if desired.
- Name your Gingerbread House or give it a Theme.
- Print out and complete the Entry Form.
- Bring your Gingerbread House and Entry Form to the Lititz Elementary School on: Friday, Dec 4th. Between 3pm and 5pm. Or on Saturday morning, Dec 5th, between 10am and 10:30 am.
- Gingerbread Houses will be on display in the lobby outside the cafeteria.
- Judging will be completed by attendees between 10:30am and 1:00pm.
- Winners will be announced at 1:30 pm.
*All Gingerbread Houses must be removed from Lititz Elementary School by 2:30 pm, on Sat Dec 5th
BUSINESS CATEGORY WINNER:
- Receives the Traveling Trophy, for 1 year. The winning business must return the Trophy to Lititz Hometown Christmas by November 1st 2021.
- By entering this contest, the winning business agrees to promotional photos and/or news media interviews.
INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY WINNERS:
- First Place Winner receives a Holiday Gift Basket. Winning Entrants receive ribbons for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
- By entering this contest, the winning individuals agree to promotional photos and/or news media interviews.
